XEV Appoints ‘Grandfather of Electric Vehicle Technology’ Professor C.C.Chan as Chief Scientist

       

We are thrilled and humbled to announce that Professor C.C.Chan (Ching Chuen Chan) has officially joined XEV as Chief Scientist. Professor C.C.Chan is regarded as the ‘Grandfather of electric vehicle technology’ in Asia and we are honored that he has chosen to partner with XEV!


Professor C.C.Chan is widely credited as one of the earliest leading inventors of electric vehicle and smart energy management in the world. He has been at the forefront of developing technologies enabling clean and efficient transportation methods benefiting the environment.


Prof. Chan was selected as one of Asia’s Best Technology Pioneers by Asiaweek in 2001, named as “Father of Asian Electric Vehicles” by Global View Magazine. He received the “Environmental Excellence in Transportation Award” from the Society of Automotive Engineers U.S.A. in 2007, and the Honour of “China Automobile Industry Character” in 2008.


Prof. Chan is the Co-founder of the World Electric Vehicle Association, and the President of the Electric Vehicles Association of Asia Pacific and serves as Senior Consultant to governments and industries worldwide.
